In fact, I had 2 Homespun Vest patterns in mind and I kind of mixed this one and this one... I didn't feel like making a whole project in Seed Stitch and I didn't like neither the onely button, nor the neckline lacks of shape in the first pattern...
I want my vest to look more like the second pattern but with more shaping around the waist and another way to close... Maybe a fun zipper or some scandinavian inspired clips... (?)
Anyway! Here are the few changes I made:
-
I casted on circular needle and I am knitting the vest in one piece.
-
Using what making the Picovoli taught me, I decided to shape the waist a little as I want it to be a little more close fitting. Bit I have to keep in mind that this vest is made with bigger needles so I might have to make fewer decreases...
-
I made the edge of the vest Seed Stitch instead of Garter Stitch.
-
I decided not to make button holes as I seek for an edge to edge closing way...
I also casted on the Yvette's Garter Stitch Baby Sweater. Sorry but there is no link for it...
I used some Worsted Weight Yarn that I had in my stash for a while, the Red Heart Giant Pounder, color 2042 "Toddler Print".
It is not solid Pink or Red but it is kind of ProjectSpectrum multicolored! LOL
