530 miles, that is the distance I drove this weekend to visit family and attend one of our nieces' Baby Shower. My kids were awful during the road trip, fighting and screaming all the way, but it was still nice to jump out of our daily routine for a little while. Only dark spot on the picture, Mr Tricotine had to stay behind and work... Darn Tax Season!

Now, despite my (weak) efforts, I came back home 1 lbs 5 heavier! Baby Showers are not diet friendly, as you might know... Although I managed to skip the cake, those tiny tuna sandwishes got me... And then the French Toast and Pancake for breakfast at the Motel the next morning... Oh well, I guess a little indulge is good for the soul, right? I only wonder how come it takes so long to lose a single pound when it only takes a little weakness to add 1.5 ?!!
I need to return to soup/salad regimen, and to exercise...
On the Knitting side, I have runned behind my schedule and I was not able to give my knitted presents for the new Baby at the Shower. I didn't show up empty handed of course, but obviously everybody was expecting some Knits - as I have always done for the other babies in the family... It is flattering for my knitting but it made me feel quite embarassed... The due date is in a month so I still have time to catch up and send a package before the birth. On my needles, a Baby Blanket, a Sweater/Hat & Booties Layette set...
So, let's make those needles smoke!
