Previously on... Survivor Tricotine!
As expected, I didn't have enough of Shine Sport to complete the top of the Baby Pico Dress the way I wanted to, and my attempts to be "creative" didn't pay off at all...
Although the texture of the fabric was identical, complementing Apricot Shine Sport with Coffee Microspun didn't look as great as I thought it would, especially that the fabric I intend to use for the bottom of the dress is Blue and Apricot...
Besides, I think I have made the raglan too long, because this top would fit a 3 or 4 years old rather than a tiny 2... But, on the good side, casting on 100 stitches was perfect for my DD's head to go through the neckline - neckline that BTW is rolling... again!
Oh well, time to forget about the Baby Pico Dress (I am going to have to rename that project), and to move on to the next step, riping off and using the Monica's ruffled part for the top of my Toddler's Dress.
If this doesn't work, I will be considering Crochet for making that dress...
