No, I am not talking about any extra-terrestrial encounters of some kind; just about Creatures looking for food in our yard. When we moved to the coast, I didn't expect to see any of these in the neighborhood! I thought wildlife was hiding in deep woods...

This little fella (I think it is a Groundhog = Marmotte in French) likes to eat my plants. That should make me mad, but it doesn't. I am just too pleased to see her around, and she might be pregnant at this time of the year - if it is a female of course!

Fortunately, hunting is not (legally) allowed in towns, but I hope she will be wise or lucky enough for not being hit by a car one of these days. Deers are so unpredictable in their moves...
May and June are statistically known for being the most dangerous months of the year for deer and moose/vehicle collisions, and despite the DMV efforts, most drivers (including myself, I am afraid) might not be sufficiently educated to prevent or lessen the severity of collisions...
