There is a contest running at NH Knitting Mama, and it goes like this:
1. Knit the candy bag (Pattern here - pdf)
2. Post a pic of your candy bag on your blog and let Mandy know about it (with a link to the blog post!).
3. Your name will go into a drawing FIVE TIMES for some swag!
Don't want to knit Mandy's Candy Bag? That's okay! You can still participate
See how on Mandy's blog...
Deadline is Monday, September 3rd, 12:01am eastern standard time.

So, I have linked and told Mandy about it. Now, back to my Candy bag!
I am doing the two circulars method instead of using double pointed needles (laddering issues...), and for this project I chose to use my favorite colorway, Peaches & Creme - Fiesta Ombre. It is going to be a happy candy bag!
Knowing my kids, I bet I am going to have to make several of those...
======= Update ========== Update ==========
Here is my Candy Bag completed. Pretty cute, huh?
This was a quick project, although I had to frog a bit at the end, because after working the bottom of the bag as instructed in Mandy's pattern, I realized that I was not really happy with the way it looked... Maybe I did something wrong, because it looked like the bottom of a bottle of soda...
So, I made the bottom of the bag Hexagonal (lined up decreases on every other row) and in Garter stitch instead.
Also, I made a crochet chain to tie the bag closed instead of an i-cord - but that is because it would be faster to stitch...

I really like that colorway, it reminds me of Watermelon and Summer Fruits...
I am thinking about making more of that little bag, because I see lots of applications for it. One of them is presenting my handmade guest soaps at Christmas - or other occasions. And while I was knitting it, lots of personalization ideas came up to my mind...
