June 14 - My family arrived from France for what was supposed to be a fun three weeks long family reunion vacation. They wanted to attend the US 4th of July celebration at least once in their life. Well, fate has decided otherwise...
June 15 / Father's Day - Barely recovering from time zone change and before we had time to do anything we had planned, my Mom fell in stairs and broke her ankle...
June 27 - After a four days in a Hospital and a few more at home struggling with pain and stress, evacuation back to France. Thanks for International Traveling Insurance - ones should never travel without one.
Bye bye Baseball games, Shopping, Independance Day parade and Fireworks...
My Mom also wanted to see me running while she was here, but she was not able to attend the 5K I got my first medal, and she won't be there to see my first 10K either... But thanks to Papa2 who took care of our little ones, Mister Tricotine and I were able to run two of the BC Weekly 5K Series together.
It was certainly nice to be able to run and to release the stress for few hours.

Now I was not able to train, eat, hydrate and rest as well as I thought I would be able to during my family's visit, but I managed to run 26.3 miles out of the 27.3 scheduled. That brings my annueal mileage to 409.6 miles.
I am getting closer to my 500 miles goal!
I am also proud to say that despite the facts that I am not counting calories anymore and that I had a few emotional binging episodes due to stress, I have maintained my weight (almost) steady.
I skipped lots of Strengh Training but since we were stuck at home, my kids and I did a lot of Wii Fit. It is not as intense as regular workouts but still raises the heart pace a bit, according to my heart rate monitor.
As I am writing this, my family is on its way to the airport one week sooner that they had planned, and I have no idea when we will see each other again...
